Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN) Development Project

Activities

To achieve the objectives/outcomes the following activities will be impemented under the project.

1. Conducting studies for different purposes such as feasibility, master plan, EIA/SIA, policy and regulatory eform etc.;
2. Preparing an inventory of local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises around BSMSN;
3. Developing a national framework for Green Economic Zones to strengthen compliance mechanisms for economic zones development, resilient buildings. energy-efficient production etc.;
4. Hiring Transaction Advisory Services (TAS);
5. Implementing infrastructures in BSMSN such as Road Network (30Km), Storm Water Network (31Km), Power & Telecommunication Network, Water Supply & Sewer Network (40Km), Gas Pipeline Network (28Km), Resilient Site Upgradation and Building Development, Security and Support Ameneities etc.;
6. Establishing PPPs for common effluent treatment plant, Desalination plant, Rooftop and floating solar, Steam network, Biogas plant, and waste sorting & material recovery facility;
7. Implementation of land filling in BSMSN;
8. Implementing capacity building and investment facilitation and prromotion programs; and
9. Creating new employment opportunity in the economic zones off BSMSN.
